Our company was established in late 1992 with the main objective to promote products of M/s. Membrane Products Kiryat Weizmann Ltd., Israel.  The Israeli Co. was subsequently taken over by Koch Membrane Systems Inc. USA in 1996.  Currently Genesis is working with M/s Koch Membrane Systems Inc., USA, M/s Trisep Corporation, USA, Hydranautics -a Nitto Group Company., USA and M/s  Fairey Industrial Ceramics Ltd., U.K. besides others. Genesis has so far designed, manufactured and installed over 400 plants in India and abroad in water, waste water treatment including Zero discharge and for process applications.

The Company is jointly promoted by Dr. B. Chakravorty, Mr. Viren Gohil and Mr. Kirit B. Shah.

Dr. B. Chakravorty is a Ph.D in Membrane Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He has experience in the field of membranes for 37 years. He was a Fulbright fellow and research Professor at University of Kentucky USA in 1988.Visiting Research Fellow at the Central Salt and Marine Chemical Research Institute, Bhavnagar, 1990 – 93. He has founded the Indian Desalination Association (InDA) in 1991, which was an affiliate of the International Desalination Association. He is President of Indian Membrane Society. Mr. Viren R. Gohil is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India.  He has over three decades of experience in the field of Dyes, Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals. (viren@genesismembrane.com)

Mr. Kirit B. Shah is a B. Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.  He has experience in manufacturing and marketing of Bulk Drugs, Chemicals and Allied products for over three decades.

The Company’s business is centred on Membrane Based Separation Technologies.  Separation requirements of different industries in process as well as waste streams are identified and evaluations are made to determine the suitability of the membrane processes.  Subsequently pilot trials are carried out and commercial offer is submitted thereafter. Genesis works from concept to commissioning for a chosen project. The company also supplies Submersible aerators for effluent treatment plants.  The company is active in the field of Water and Waste Water Treatment for water recovery and zero discharge.  Other activities include sale and after sale service for high pressure turbo pumps and Energy Recovery Turbines; RO membranes and chemicals; Ceramic membranes for cell harvesting, broth clarification, fruit juice concentration etc.
