- Ph. D in Membrane Technology from IIT Bombay – 1984.
- Research Scientist and associate Head at Thapar Corporate R&D Centre Patiala, 1985-90.
- Awarded Fulbright fellow and Research Professor at University of Kentucky USA in 1988.
- Visiting Research Fellow at the Central Salt and Marine Chemical Research Institute, Bhavnagar, 1990 – 93.
- Founded Indian Desalination Association (InDA) in 1991 in Madras (now Chennai).
- Received NOCIL Award from Indian Institute of Chemical Engineer’s for Development of Novel process in 2000.
- Currently President of Indian Membrane Society. Member of Indian Pulp & Paper Technical Association and Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers.
- Over 50 publications in international journals on Membrane Synthesis and application to different industries. Was an expert in evaluation of papers submitted to Journal of Membrane Science, Netherlands. Guided Ph. D & M. Tech at TIET Patiala. Ph. D and M. Tech examiner at ICT, Mumbai.
- Attended/Participated/Chaired about 50 National & International Conferences & Symposia all over the world.
